CABBAGE 280 - 350 s/g

(Brassica oleracea capitata). Sow as recommended under individual description, transplanting 6 - 8 weeks later, 60 cm apart within rows. Feed well with animal manures before planting out.


GREEN VARIETIES

1211: Cannonball Hybrid

Small solid round heads around 1kg each. Good mini cabbage, maturing approx 8 weeks from transplanting. Best sown mid winter to mid January. Packets only.

1224: Green Coronet Hybrid

Excellent medium to large heads that hold well after maturity. Sow June to February (cold): AYR in temperate areas and December to May in the tropics. Resists Black Rot.

1221: Savoy King Hybrid

Light green intensely curled leaves and solid heads make this an outstanding cultivar for eating or exhibition. Excellent eating. Sow September to November (cold): AYR in other areas. Matures 10 - 12 weeks from transplanting. Packets only.

Small sweet conical heads are cut from this reliable “Spring” cabbage. Sow early autumn and late summer (cold), into late autumn and winter in warm areas. Quick maturing.

An open pollinated Savoy type with heavily blistered dark green leaves, Heads typically 2 to 3 kg each. Reliable. Best sown October to January.
